Overview

As a Client Service Specialist, you will join a fast-paced client support team to help our clients get new commercial motor vehicle drivers safely on the road in a rewarding career.  You will be responsible for auditing driver and asset files, ensuring the files meet FMCSA regulatory requirements as well as client-specific requirements. You will work with NTCI’s Compliance Specialists and Client Service Managers to identify and address discrepancies and communicate those to the client and its drivers.  A successful Client Service Specialist has an eye for detail, a willingness to learn, good communication skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review driver qualification files, vehicle maintenance files, and other client-specific documentation to ensure documents meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate file discrepancies promptly to clients, drivers, and teammates.
  • Promptly respond to client requests and inquiries.
  • Process records for the driver qualification files, vehicle maintenance files, and other client-specific documentation to ensure that those documents meet required standards, as needed.
  • Enter new and updated driver and vehicle data.
  • Order reports from third-party providers (i.e., motor vehicle records, prior employment verifications, FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse queries, etc.).
  • Maintain and distribute reports as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize objectives with little-to-no assistance, identify issues, and create and execute solutions that address those issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding client documents, software integration, etc.
  • Share opportunities to streamline business systems and processes within NTCI and our clients (i.e., what works well for a client could also help others).

Skills & Qualifications

  • Organized with an ability to prioritize workload while effectively maintaining attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and communicate objectives, find and report issues, and execute solutions that address those issues.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a coordinated team to meet client needs.
  • Ability to sit throughout the work shift at a desk, focused on the data entry/scanning and review of forms.
  • Ability to follow directions, seek guidance when directions lack clarity, and accept constructive feedback to improve work product.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to develop rapport and relationships internally and with all levels of the client organization.
  • Clear, concise, and effective communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Proficiency in various computer programs, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Willingness and ability to learn new software programs as well as NTCI systems.
  • Experience in motor carrier safety and compliance a plus.

$16.00 to $17.00 per hour
